It´s been a while and lot has happend. First and foremost; INDIAN SUMMER is finally finished.
It will premiere in September 2010. (TBA)
INDIAN SUMMER is a story about my brother Torstein who has the diagnosis of Schizofrenia.
When dreams and reality blend together Torstein identifies with being a Native Indian. He dreams about being free living close to nature, but are trapped in his illness as well as in a hospital.

Other work has included assignments for Minor Majority, Tora Augestad, Terje Nordgården, Grappa, No Magazine, Vital and Torden Film. Torden film will realease Kommandør Treholt og Ninjatroppen (Norweagian Ninja) August 13th. I have been the still photographer on set. In addition I directed and photographed behind the scenes material. We have made 5 short documentaries that will go on the DVD.

rewarded Indian Summer with 300 000 kr in production money.
The film is finally
finnished as far as financing. Now I just need to make it!
Russian Esquire is publishing twelve images from The Shoe Project.

Dinamo
bought five portraits for their client Norgesgruppen. The Harcourt
Educational Publishers in Oxford is publishing a book called "What
is Art? Photography" with images from The Shoe Project. This is an
educational book primary for school children.
Continuing working on my documentary film. Shooting in the beginning of the
month with cinematographer Cecilie Semec
and towards the end of the month I´m editing with editor Helge Billing
doing rough cuts and experiementing with the material.
DECEMBER - NEW RELEASE OF FETT - ISSUE 04/07
Our magazine have gotten some new great
designers involved: BLUNDERBUSS.
PEACHES is on the cover, works by Bettina Rheims and Tracey Emin. Release at
Sound of Mu 1st of December at 15 pm.

The
organization called Health and Rehabilitation here
in Norway granted my documentary project with the
amount of 600 000 kr!
(about 75 000 EURO).

Participating at the International Filmfestival
of the Art of Cinematography, Plus Camerimage,
the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography
and its creators - cinematographers.The trip is funded by the Norwegian Film
Development. Great films and seminars.

Shooting Music for a While during their tour for Rikskonsertene at Drammens
Teather.
New assignment for FORTEL telecommunication and three shoots for VITAL EIENDOM.
TV NORGE bought some of my film footage for making promotions/vignetts for their
channel.
Several days of shooting for the documentary film with the cinematographer Kjell
Vassdal.
BERLIN,
OCTOBER 2007

OULU, FINLAND 24th - 29th OF SEPTEMBER
Travelling to Oulu, Finland to participate at the Nordic Forum for co-financing
of Documentary Films. I will pitch my documentary film, Indian Summer, to the
Nordic TV-Channels. Meetings with YLE and SWT. The trip is supported by the
Norwegian Film Development and Nordic Culture Point.
TORA AUGESTAD SINGS KURT WEILL SONGS
The booklet to Tora Augestad´s new CD, Music
for a While, with variations on Kurt Weill songs, is finnished. The design
is by Rune Mortensen.
The release will be 8th of October. Check back for more info about the release.

THE SHOE PROJECT IN BEJING, LOS ANGELES AND THE
UK
The Shoe Project, also called, People´s faces and their Shoes are having
some sort of revival over the internet the last month, thanks to some bloggers
who came over the project and started publishing it on their own bloggs. Thanks
for all the emails and comments about the project from all around the world.
In
August and September Twentyone Pictures had 30 000 visitors each month compared
to an usual average of around 1000.
In
August the biggest photo-magazine in Bejing, China, published 12 sets from the
project, combined with and interview. The
Shoe Project will also be printed in a magazine in Los Angeles, California.
The Times Magazine in the UK is doing a little write up on the
projects in their next issue 15th of September.
Swissmiss published one of my photos
from the series Outside (in America) which also threw my stats high up and got
some funny responses. All of a sudden I had 8000 visitors in one day on my site.
DOKUMENTA
KASSEL
8-11th of September. The art-group Ventilen, which I´m involved in, is
visiting Documenta in Kassel looking for great art. And we did find some.
Highlight. Amar Kanwar´s multichannel installation The Lightning Testimonies
left the strongest impression. Amar Kanwar’s poetic documentary films
and video works explore the political, social, economic and ecological conditions
of the Indian subcontinent, often through stories and experiences. Worth checking
out at the Neue Gallerie in Kassel.
SEPTEMBER
- NEW RELEASE OF FETT - ISSUE 03/07
New realease of the Magazine FETT and the first issue with the new editor, Siri
Lindstad. The theme of this issue is War and Gender, with contributions
from the great feminist, artist and critic, Martha
Rosler, the UK based photograher Paul
Smith, the Norwegian photographer Mette Tronvoll and Blunderbuss.

JUNE - INDIAN SUMMER MOVES ON
NRK
has now decided to be co-producing Indian Summer. They will support the film
with 300 000 kr. That’s fantastic! The financing is really moving forward.
The finnished film will be screened at NRK sometime after January 2009.
JUNE - NEW RELEASE OF FETT - ISSUE 02/07
A new issue of Fett is out featuring Beth Ditto, the vocalist form The
Gossips on the cover. Go and get it now. The release party will happen at
Sound of Mu tuesday 5th of June at 19.00.
JUNE - FLIP FILM LIVES ON -
Who knew that one minute would last so long…?
The Norwegian Short
Film festival (15-20th
of June in Grimstad) has decided to mark it´s 30th anniversary
by focusing on Norwegian animation. If you are at the Shortfilmfestival in Grimstad
check out the program 30 years of Norwegian animation. Flip FIlm willl be screening.
Flip Film has also recently been included in the Journal of Shortfilm Volume
8. The JSF is a quarterly DVD
journal containing 90-120 minutes of independent short film per volume. The
films are peer-reviewed by filmmakers and scholars of film theory
and are inclusive of all genres of film, favoring independent and underrepresented
work
MAY - INDIAN SUMMER RECEIVES DEVELOPING MONEY
FROM THE NORWEGIAN FILM FUND
18th of May. Great news. Norwegian Film Fund has decided to support “Indian
Summer” with
200 000 kr in developing money.
MAY - ARTIST RESIDENCY
13-21st of May. Artist residency in Vesterålen Norway at Litløy
Lighthouse. The outermost Island in Vesterålen. Concentrating on writing
for Cappelen.
OSLO OPEN 3-13TH OF MAY
Open studios all over Oslo. Come visit my Studio in Sandakervn. 104b. Fllow
the sticker and look for this building. My studio will be open Friday and Saturday
11th and 12th of May from 10-16.
APRIL
Shooting new press photos of Poing,
one of the leading ensembles for contemporary music in Scandinavia, with more
then 40 first performances by European and Asian composers. They have played
in clubs and concert halls in most European countries, the US as well as in
China and Japan. Read more about their work on ther website.

NOVEMBER
Long time, no news. Have been travelling to Berlin for a workshop in Creative
Documentary and participated at the Camerimage
Festival for the Arts of Cinematography in Lodz, Poland.
Also
shooting a series on Woman at work for FETT magazine to be released in a few
days. I am now officially the Photo Editor of the Magazine together with Anna
Martine Nilsen.

August. Back in Oslo after shooting for four weeks on location in Portør.

Film will be screening at the El Rio as a part of a retrospective at
the Madcat International Film Festival. Check it out.

55 artist from Norway and Sweden at the old Nidar Bergene Chocolatefactory in

June 14th: Release of the Magazine FETT, to be found at Narvesen. Check out
the cover and a series on Norwegian teenagers.

May.
Have been working for Viktig, Hadeland Engeri, Poppe Aktiv Eiendom, shooting
cover and three stories for FETT soon to be released.
Also shooting a CD-cover for Terje Nordgarden to be released on june 27th. A
new great productioncompany, Egne Filmer, is now involved with Indian Summer.
January/February 2006. New work in Vreng this month. Also new campaign for Westerdals
School of Visual Communication running on assignment from Tangram Design. Indian
Summer is now in production!
December 2005. Kirkens Bymisjon is launching the X-mas campaign. Fond
for lyd og bilde has decided to support the documentary film "Indian
Summer" with 250 000 NOK! Travelling to Berlin with the support from Norsk
Filmutvikling for a follow up session developing the documentaryfilm arranged
by Sources2. Also collaborating delivering all picture material to Poppe Eiendom.
September. No longer with Pin-Up Photoagency. Travelling to San Francisco. Focusing
on preproduction work for "Indian Summer"
May-June.
Travelling to Rovaniemi, Finland to participate in a workshop arranged by Source2.
Supported by Sleipnir and Norwegian Film fund. Working as a stillsphotographer
on the childrens movie "Olsenbanden jr. på sirkus". New campaign
for Dagsavisen is out. Ellen is filming with director Ragna Lindboe on the project
"Dokument Oslo" initiated by Oslo Byforum. To be screened Sunday May
15th in the backyard of the Art Academy in Oslo.
May. Flip-film is a part of an exhibition at the Museum Kunsthalle Duesseldorf,
Germany, called the “Flip-book show” which focuses on flipbooks
by contemporary artists. The aim of the exhibition is to show the flipbook as
an intersection between experimental poetry, artists' books and avantgarde films
with other artist ranging from Guillaume Apollinaire to Andy Warhol.
April. April 28th. Opening of the group exhibition “1001 Hender”
at Rikshospitalet which will hang for two months. The exhibition is a part of
a bigger campaign focusing on hygiene in the hospitals.
The campaign for Dagsavisen are voted best outdoor campaign of the month by
JCDX!
Out right now! Vreng 01 (Adbusters) a series of landscape pictures combined
with tabloid headlines. Also, check out Kreativ Forum 02, photographer of the
month and portrait of Lille Philip in Natt og dag.
February/March. New portfolio in production. Working w. a new campaign for DAGSAVISEN.
A story about the Beauty industry in India was published in Aftenposten in beginning
of March and look for a story in Blikk in mid March.
January
2005. Spending most of the time in India, Bombay and Goa, working on four stories
for Aftenposten and one story for Blikk with journalist Mala Naveen soon to
be published...watch out in the upcoming months for stories from India.
December. Shooting CD cover for Whimsical and good news!... Ellen is now with
PINUP Photoagency. Check out www.pinup.as.
Other photographers include Massimo Leardini, Alexander Hagstadius and Bjørn
Wallander.
October/November. Shooting for Peer Gynt Gården in Vinstra, The Magazine,
Norsk Kulturarv, Netmaking AS and a doing a job for NHO. Guestlecture at The
School of Archtiecture.
September.Working on the Christmas campaign for Kirkens Bymisjon 2004. Upcoming
relase of the Magazine FETT! 23rd of September at Gloria Flames. Don´t
miss it! Animal Alpha will play.
August: Working on three different shoots for the new Magazine FETT to be released
in late September, shooting at Øya festivalen and photographing vocalist
Agenete Kjølsrud from Animal Alpha.
Shooting portrait of the author/musician Pedro Carmona Alvarez for Natt og Dag.
Two of my photos from the People´s Faces and Shoes-series will be displayed
in a groupshow at Bølgen and Moi, Trondheim.
May/June/July 2004. Went to Molde Jazz festival to cover Stevie wonder, Atomic
Schooldays and other fun stuff. Finnishing second round on the job Greetings
from Grønland for Bates Red Cell. Received a 20 000 kr in grant
for developing the documentary from Norsk Filmfond. Thank you! Despite great
efforts from PROPELL, Underexposed got cancellled. Photographing Sven Lindquist
for Adbusters, Lindquist have written Reklamen er livsfarlig!
April. Received 30 000 kr in funding from Fond for lyd og bilde to
write and develop a script for a documentary film.
February/March. Working with Eva and Jørgen at Bates Red Cell on a new
campaign for Gronlandskvartalene. Working as a yoga instructor for Hanne Engebråten.
January. Invited to participate in UNDEREKSPONERT 2004 an exhibition to take
place on the main subwaystations in Norway, to replace the ads for a week.

Received a grant from OCA (Office of contemporary Art) to go back to San Francisco
to report and check out Rolling Gallery. Won Interfoto´s debutant competion!

In the works: Rolling Gallery. Exhibiting stills from the film Flip-Film to
hang on 22 busses in San Francisco. Interviewed on Kulturbeite October 22. Shooting
